Visit to Li Chun Dragon Fish Industry (Mahaica-Berbice Arowana Farm in Singapore)
Hi all members,Today, I visited an arowana farm in Singapore. The farm name is Li Chun Dragon Fish Industry (formerly known as Ley Choon, its chinese name remains unchanged). It is located at No. 80 Lim Chu Kang Lane 6F Singapore 718872. The Director of this farm is Mr. Toh Chew Leong. The farm is run by their Arowana Fish Specialist Mr. Lee How Kee. Their contact numbers are (65) 6757 0900 and (65) 6792 0300.
Mr. Lee is a very friendly person. He kindly showed me around his farm and explained patiently to my questions. This farm produces more golden arowana than red arowana. Their sole agent in Singapore is AQUAMANIA (Mr. Patrick Goh, mobile: +65 9274 2013, Tel: +65 6899 0727, Address: Blk 283, #01-265, Bukit Batok East Ave 3, Singapore 650283.)

Li Chun Gold** Certificate (two stars and above indicates crossback golden arowana)
The more the stars the better is the quality. So far, Mr. Lee has ever issued a 4-star certificate.

My understanding of 1* = HBRTG. But we hardly see LC 1* cert around.
Then I ask around and got this answer:
"They Tag HBRTG with 1* only when they are probably about 10" or bigger so as to ensure display of HBRTG quality(Quality assurance)". But do expect the price will be much DIFFERENT compare to a no* HBRTG due to the time taken to groom them bigger and to ensure quality. This concept is good as a form of quality assurance to us hobbyist.
Anyway, back to topic:
Nowadays those juv HBRTG are tag with no* as they are release to the market at smaller size which is harder for them to determine the quality.
But
not forgetting the more classic RTGs which they do not want to sell as same price as their no* HBRTG in which may explain the difference in prices between:-
1. LC no* RTG vs LC no*HBRTG
2. Other farm RTG vs LC no* HBRTG
I am quoting point 2 of above on Other farm RTG vs LC no* HBRTG as i always hear people comparing price of $2XX~3XX price RTG VS LC Gold no* Cert which MAYBE HBRTG.
IMO still a bit 模糊when buying.
then again the same old saying See Fish no See Cert

Their ponds are inter-connected which allows them to clean the pond conveniently. That is, they can move the fishes from one pond to another easily.
